This week, in a 7-part series, we are settling the most delicious culinary debate in Orlando: Which park snacks from Disney and Universal are truly the most Magically Epic.

Yesterday, in a battle with Dole Whip, we declared Butterbeer the superior iconic concoction, giving Universal the first head-to-head snack competition point. Today, we’re setting aside the sweets for a seriously savory showdown that pits a beloved cult classic against a true culinary curiosity.

Get ready to rumble! It’s the Disney Cheeseburger Spring Rolls versus Universal’s All-American Bacon Double Cheeseburgooshi!

Day 2: Savory All-Stars!

Disney’s Cult Classic: Cheeseburger Spring Rolls

For years, these Cheeseburger Spring Rolls have been a snacking legend among Disney Park veterans. Hidden away at a little cart in Adventureland (Magic Kingdom), these golden, crispy rolls are a perfect mashup of street food convenience and comfort food flavor.

Each order delivers two rolls, their delicate wrappers stuffed with seasoned ground beef, cheese, and sometimes a hint of pickle. They are served with a signature dipping sauce that is tangy, sweet, and perfectly complements the savory filling. Their small size and truly handheld, portable nature make them the ultimate grab-and-go snack, but their inconsistent availability and high demand often mean long lines—or worse, disappointment—when the cart closes early.

Universal’s Culinary Curiosity: The All-American Bacon Double Cheeseburgooshi

Universal fights back with a true Frankensnack from The Cowfish® Sushi Burger Bar in Universal CityWalk. The Cheeseburgooshi is a perfect example of Cowfish fusion—a behemoth of a meal that attempts to cram an entire cheeseburger into a giant sushi-inspired roll. This flash-fried creation features seasoned premium Black Angus beef, yellow and white cheddar cheeses, and applewood smoked bacon, all wrapped tightly in soy paper and crispy potato strings. It’s then topped/served with dill pickle, red onion, Roma tomato, house made Cowfish sauce, ketchup, and mustard. While it requires a trip out of the park gates and into the dining district and definitely demands a fork, knife, or chopsticks, its sheer creativity is decidedly epic.

The Decisive Verdict

This is a tough battle. The Spring Rolls win on taste, simplicity, and texture; they are genuinely delicious and highly addictive. The Cheeseburgooshi wins on novelty and sheer commitment to its theme.

Ultimately, though, a snack must be convenient, enjoyable to eat, and easy to recommend. The Cheeseburgooshi, while a wildly fun idea, is an overwhelmingly dense, somewhat dry novelty that often falls apart, not one easily eaten while walking. The Cheeseburger Spring Rolls, however, are a masterclass in park snacking: perfectly portioned, texturally satisfying, and executed flawlessly every single time (when you can find them!).

For the combination of flavor, value (two rolls!), and the pure joy they deliver as a true handheld park snack, the more reliably delicious, if geographically limited, Spring Rolls take the point.

WINNER: Disney (Cheeseburger Spring Rolls)

Current Score: Universal 1 / Disney 1

It’s a tie! Join us tomorrow for Day 3: Wrap Masters! We’re matching Disney’s famous Ronto Wraps (Galaxy’s Edge, Hollywood Studios) against the new Mac & Cheese Cones (Isle of Berk, Epic Universe).
